Sugar Factory Playhouse to produce gender-swapped version of "The Importance of Being Earnest"

April Fools! Although the sets and costumes of our production of “The Importance of Being Earnest” will have a different flavor than what you’ve seen in other productions, we’re not changing “Earnest” to “Earnestina.” Original post follows.

The estate of Oscar Wilde has given Sugar Factory Playhouse exclusive permission to produce a gender-swapped version of "The Importance of Being Earnest," which will be called "The Importance of Being Earnestina." Additional scenes and necessary modifications will be written by an eager local youth playwrite, Rasco Edliw.
