My first experience with CASWJ was being a Nun/townsperson in Sound of Music in 2002. I was also in Best Christmas Pageant Ever and Oliver. My kids have also been involved in many shows over the years.

I joined the West Jordan Symphony in about 2005. I later joined Concert Band, and have been with Jazz Band since it started. I'm currently involved in all three groups because it's too hard to choose just one.

Music and Art have been a very big part of my whole life.  I love all aspects of music and art- playing instruments, singing, writing music, painting, going to museums, and lots of other creative things.

The first time I performed on stage was singing at age 3.  I started dance lessons at 4, but I never got very good at that.  I started piano lessons at 8. As soon as I started piano lessons, I started writing down music (I've been making up songs for as long as I can remember.)

I stared violin lessons at 10, but only took lessons for one year because  we moved to Hawaii and my school there did not have an orchestra.

When I was 10, I had the privilege of traveling around Europe with my family for four months.  I was in complete awe of all the museums, and castles, and works of art I was able to see there.

I started playing the flute at school when I was 12 and flute became my main instrument along with piccolo, piano, and singing. I also play saxophone, guitar, ukulele, viola, trumpet, and kazoo.

I was Marta in The Sound of Music at BYU-Hawaii when I was 11.  I was in some other productions at BYU-Hawaii while in middle school, and I was in Miracle Worker and The Matchmaker at Granite High my senior year of high school.

I studied music at BYU and University of Utah, and Music Composition at Salt Lake Community College.

I love being involved with the Arts in West Jordan. I'm grateful for the opportunities it gives me to do the things that I love.
