You think you know what happened to Ebenezer Scrooge after the Christmas Spirits paid him a little visit? You’d better think again. Come find out what really happened as West Jordan Theater Arts proudly presents “A Christmas Carol – Part II” at the Sugar Factory Playhouse this Holiday Season.
Written by Bob Bedore, “A Christmas Carol – Part II” takes a new twist on the Dickens classic tale and discovers that all is not right in Scrooge’s world. In fact, the Spirits are going to have to come back again to get things straightened out. This includes stopping Bob Cratchit from embezzling everything Scrooge owns.
The show will run every Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from November 28 through December 13. Show times will begin at 7:30 pm, and there will be a matinee on December 13th starting at 2:00 pm. The show on Saturday, December 6th will start at 8:00 pm to allow crowds to also attend the West Jordan Arts Christmas Concert at 6:00 pm at West Jordan City Hall.
Tickets for “A Christmas Carol – Part II” are $6 for adults and $3 for seniors, students and children. Tickets can be purchased at the door and at the West Jordan Macey’s Food Store (7800 South 3200 West).
The cast, directed by Bedore, includes returning actors who will be very familiar to fans of the Sugar Factory Playhouse. There will also be several first timers in this show including Russ McBride as Bob Cratchit, Jeff Mitchell as the not so tiny, Tiny Tim, Lisa Shaughnessy as Christmas Future, and Tim Schomburg as Christmas Present.
The Sugar Factory Playhouse is located at 8201 South 2200 West in West Jordan. The doors will open 30 minutes before each show and there is plenty of parking all around the theatre.
“A Christmas Carol – Part II” is appropriate for the entire family and offers an uplifting message to go along with its free-range comedy. Patrons who saw “Robin Hood”, also written by Bedore, will love this take on a holiday classic.
