At West Jordan Youth Theatre, we’ve always been proud to bring our community two full-scale productions each year—big, exciting shows that give performers ages 8–18 the chance to shine on stage, build confidence, and create lasting friendships. But this year, we’re trying
something new… and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you!
This summer, we’re introducing our very first summer production: Frozen Jr.!

What Makes Our Summer Show Different?
Our traditional productions are full-length shows with a strong focus on in-depth rehearsal and performance experience. Our new summer show will be a “Jr.” production, which means it’s a shorter, more flexible version of a beloved musical—perfect for younger performers and those newer to theatre.
For Frozen Jr., we’re opening auditions to ages 6–16. These shows also tend to feature larger casts, creating even more opportunities for kids of all experience levels to be part of something magical.
In addition, our summer show places a special emphasis on education and skill-building. Participants will have opportunities to learn important fundamentals such as theatre etiquette, teamwork, character development, and basic performance techniques. This supportive, learning-focused environment helps young performers build confidence while gaining valuable skills they can carry into future productions—and beyond.
Opportunities for Everyone
One of the most exciting things about Frozen Jr. is just how many ways there are to get involved!
Younger performers and those with special needs can shine in our Snow Chorus, helping bring Elsa’s icy magic to life on stage.
Our energetic Summer Chorus will bring big fun to the stage (rumor has it… there may be tapping 👀).
We’ll also have tons of townspeople, a brood of Oaken’s quirky family members, and the mysterious Hidden Folk, giving everyone a chance to find their place in the story.
Whether you’re brand new to theatre or an experienced performer, there’s a role waiting for you.
A Unique Opportunity for Older Teens
We’re also thrilled to offer something special for our older performers (ages 16–18): Production Team Internships!
Selected interns will work alongside our experienced team as assistants in areas such as:
Director & Assistant Director
Producer
Choreographer
Music Director
Stage Manager
Costumes
Props
Set Design & Build
This is an incredible chance to learn what happens behind the scenes and gain hands-on leadership experience in theatre production. Apply here!
Full Circle Moments

One of the things that makes this production especially meaningful is that our choreographer and music director are both WJYT alumni! Ella and Zach started right here on our stage and have grown into incredibly talented artists and mentors. Seeing them return to help guide the next generation is a powerful reminder of what WJYT is all about—creating a space where young people can grow, learn, and inspire others.
Join Us for the Magic
We can’t wait to bring Arendelle to life this summer—and we want YOU to be part of it!
Auditions: May 11th & 13th
Callbacks (by invitation): May 16th
Performances: July 31st – August 8th
Whether you want to try for a lead role, be an important part of the ensemble, or help behind the scenes, Frozen Jr. is the perfect opportunity to get involved, make friends, and experience the joy of theatre.
