Event Description
A study in beginnings, endings, and the brilliance of youth.
Experience the full arc of musical evolution in one evening. We pair Beethoven’s "First" published quartet—a bold claim to the throne of Vienna—with Mendelssohn’s final, searing masterpiece in F Minor. Rounding out the program is Britten’s Quartetino, a sophisticated glimpse into the mind of a student genius before he became a titan of the 20th century.
