West Jordan Symphony delivered an unforgettable evening of music at this year’s Solo & Ensemble Showcase, filling the Canyon View Credit Union Community & Arts Center to capacity and marking the orchestra’s third consecutive sold-out performance in the new venue.
Before the music began, West Jordan Mayor Dirk Burton welcomed the audience, helping set the tone for a celebratory evening highlighting the strength of the city’s growing arts community.
Audiences were treated to a remarkable program showcasing the extraordinary talent within the ensemble and its extended musical community. The repertoire spanned centuries, featuring music by Bach, Fauré, Rodrigo, Elgar, and other celebrated composers. The evening offered everything from intimate solo works to sweeping concerto movements performed with full orchestral accompaniment.
The concert featured standout performances by flute soloist Leah Kim Keyes, violinist Nate Fairhair, cellist Aryanna Becerra, and guitarist Sergio Frías Corona, along with many other exceptional musicians. Chamber collaborations added variety to the evening, including a lively flute trio performance of Linda Pratt’s “Dream.”
The concert concluded with one of the most memorable moments of the night as all of the evening’s soloists returned to the stage together for a final bow. The packed audience rose to its feet in a standing ovation, celebrating both the performers and the vibrant arts culture growing in West Jordan.
The Solo & Ensemble Showcase has become one of the symphony’s most beloved traditions—an inspiring platform where musicians share their artistry and audiences experience the incredible range of talent within the community.
With momentum continuing to build, the orchestra now looks ahead to its next major performance, Generations, taking place on May 30, 2026, with performances at 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM at the Canyon View Credit Union Community & Arts Center. The program will explore the evolution of symphonic music through works by Haydn, Hummel, and Beethoven, celebrating the brilliance and legacy of orchestral tradition.
Ticket information will be released in April.
