Five Carols for Christmas (2017)

Sugar Factory Playhouse and West Jordan Theater Arts present a heartwarming, hilarious holiday musical, “Five Carols for Christmas” (books and lyrics by Jim Christian, music by Kenneth Plain, directed by Michelle Groves).


“Five Carols for Christmas” takes place in 1954, and follows five best friends – all named Carol, each with a different spelling – as they prepare for their annual holiday performance at the local high school on Christmas Eve. When the power goes out just as the women are rushing off for their performance, their endeavor become not only complicated, but absolutely hilarious.

Performances will be held at the Midvale Performing Arts Center (695 West Center Street) December 7, 8, 9, 11, 15, 16, 18 at 7:30 p.m., with a 2:00 p.m. matinee on December 9. Doors open a half hour before the show, and seating is unassigned.


Tickets are $8 for general admission and $5 for children (12 and under), seniors (60 and over), students (with ID), and groups of 10 or more (must purchase tickets at the same time). Tickets may be purchased in advance at Macey’s grocery store in West Jordan (7859 S. 3200 W.) or at the door with cash or check. Runtime is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes, including intermission.
