West Jordan Symphony is looking for members

The West Jordan Symphony is looking for members! We currently have greatest need in the following sections: • Strings (all) • Bassoon • Horn • Trombone • Tuba

Additional woodwind and brass players will be considered depending on the instrument, although at this time we do not have any room in the flute section.

This is not an auditioned ensemble, but the expectation is that players will be able to handle advanced high school repertoire. While we always strive to perform at the highest possible level, perfect playing is not a prerequisite for admission. Examples of pieces performed in recent seasons include Beethoven Symphony #5 (mvt. 4), Overture to Orpheus in the Underworld, Messiah, Borodin Symphony #2 (mvt. 1), and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Rehearsals are on Saturdays from 9:00-11:30 AM. Concerts are scheduled for the 22-23 season on the following dates: • October 22nd • December 3rd • December 18th • March 18th • May 13th

If you are interested in joining and are able to commit to most rehearsals and concerts, feel free to email the Music Director, Dr. Robert Bott, to inquire further: rlbconductor@gmail.com.
